2014 Edition of the World-Beater® All-Beach 10K will be Held September 27th

Event established a new Guinness World Record in 2013

The 2014 edition of the World-Beater® All-Beach 10K will be held on September 27, 2014, beginning at 8:00 am.  This 10K race, run completely on the beach, will start at the Gulf State Park Cotton Bayou Beach Access (Just east of the 161 intersection with Perdido Beach Boulevard) in Orange Beach, and finish adjacent to the public beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama – the same route used in the 2013 race.

Runners can register for the 2014 World-Beater® All-Beach 10K at www. AllBeach10K.com

The 2013 World-Beater® All-Beach 10K race established a world record in a new Guinness World Record category.  The winner of that event,

Marie Bader, was awarded her Guinness World Record Certificate in January at a pep rally ceremony at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, where she teaches physics and coaches track.  Click here to see it!

When questioned by reporters after her presentation she was honest.

“This is a good race,” said Bader.  “It was incredibly hard.  You just don’t get the bounce off your step that you do on either grass or cement.“  A couple of times I was just, “I give up.’ I felt like I was stuck in there."

We knew this would be a hard race,” said Joe Moore, creator of the event.  “Anyone who has ever taken a simple jog on the beach can testify to the demands and differences of beach running.  If you run this race, you have done something special.  Actually winning it is extraordinary.”

Establishing and Tracking American and World Records

The difficulty of the World-Beater® All-Beach 10K and the race’s uniqueness are the primary reasons the World-Beater organization has established and will track American Records for this event, as well as facilitating World Records.  American Records established in 2013:

Growth Potential

David Grayson, of suburban Denver, won both the Men’s Masters and 60+ divisions, at 1:00.54, and feels very strongly about the World-Beater All-Beach 10K.

I have obviously only run it one time, but this is my favorite race,” said David Grayson, who is an avid, long-term runner, and has run every Peachtree Road Race in the event’s history.

I can’t think of a better way to spend an hour, than running on Alabama beaches, which are absolutely the most beautiful in the world,” Grayson continued.

It is Moore’s plan to grow the World-Beater All-Beach 10K into a series of events, which can be held on beaches around the nation, and eventually internationally.

Registration

Runners can register electronically at www.AllBeach10K.com starting today, or by mail prior to September 15, 2014.
